The Right Hon Lord Malcolm (Colin Campbell)

 

Lord Malcolm was appointed as a judge of the Supreme Courts in 2007. He was appointed to the Second Division of the Inner House of the Court of Session in July 2014. 

He became an advocate in 1977 and was appointed as a Queen’s Counsel in 1990.

In 2001 he was elected Dean of the Faculty of Advocates, an office he held for 3 years. Before that he had been elected Vice Dean of the Faculty in 1997. 

He was a founder member of the Judicial Appointments Board for Scotland, and served as a part-time member of the Mental Welfare Commission for Scotland. Earlier in his career, he taught Scots law at the University of Edinburgh and was Standing Junior counsel to the Scottish Development Department.
