AILEEN DEVANNY

Aileen Devanny is the president of the Housing and Property Chamber of the First-tier Tribunal for Scotland which was established on 1 December 2016.

Before the creation of the Chamber, she was president of the Private Rented Housing Panel since 2010 and first president of the Homeowner Housing Panel since 2012.

She has been a solicitor for over 30 years and has worked in private practice and in local authorities. She has also been a former university law lecturer and external adviser on law courses for the Open University Validation Panel.

She is a legal chairperson of the Mental Health Tribunal for Scotland, and is a former member and chair of conduct sub-committees of the Scottish Social Services Council.
