New President of the Pensions Appeal Tribunal Scotland

Following the upcoming resignation of President Marion Caldwell KC, the Lord President has appointed Mr Andrew Webster KC as President of the Pensions Appeal Tribunal Scotland.


President Marion Caldwell KC will demit office on 30 August 2024 and become a legal member of the Tribunal.  Andrew Webster KC will take up post on 31 August 2024.

The President of Scottish Tribunals, Lady Wise said:

“I would like to express my gratitude for the diligence and assistance provided by Marion throughout her tenure as President.  The knowledge and expertise she has brought to the Tribunal has been considerable and is much appreciated by its members.  I wish to congratulate Andrew on his appointment as the next President of the Pensions Appeal Tribunal for Scotland.  I have no doubt that he will continue to carry out this important work with the same level of commitment as his predecessor.” 

Biography

Andrew Webster KC called to the bar in 1992 having trained with commercial law firm Bird Semple Fyfe Ireland WS in Edinburgh and London.  He holds a number of judicial and tribunal positions.  He is a part-time sheriff and a chairing member of the Pensions Appeal Tribunal Scotland, the Police Appeals Tribunal and the First-tier Tribunal for Scotland.  He is the current Director of Themis Advocates.
