The Hon Lord Duthie

The Hon Lord Duthie was appointed as the Chair of the Scottish Land Court and President of the Lands Tribunal for Scotland on 9 January 2023.

A graduate of the Universities of St Andrews and Edinburgh, he called to the Bar in 2006.

His Lordship was a Royal Naval Reserve officer and in 2010 worked in Kenya on Somali piracy trials.

He was appointed Standing Junior Counsel to the Advocate General in 2012, before becoming a fee-paid judge of the First-tier Tribunal in 2014.

Prior to heading up the Land Court, he was a sheriff at Perth Sheriff Court.
